Very Impressive

One of the best pieces of art I have seen for a while since Alvinhew's work. I loved all the detail and the shading was great! he colors were fantastic and the whole thing was filled with life! But is there some story behind this?

I thought you could work on the sun a bit in the second panel because it just looks like basic layers from the suns' rays. But the detailing was excellent and made the whole thing pretty fantastic.

The colors were perfect and fit in well with the whole thing which is another big thing I liked about the picture as well as the art style that you used in it. It was also very original because who could think of a tiki going to random places? Plus the huge creature on the first panel.

Overall it is one of my favorite pictures I have seen in the art portal so good job! I am hoping to see more from you!

thanks very much

i'm thinking of working on this a bit more cos the sky's been bugging me too, especially when zoomed out

Pretty Cool!

I was surprised how fast you made this because I saw your Reemus picture a couple of days ago! Anyways, I liked the style of the artwork and how it was just in three colors. But did I see a nun chuck from the make your levels picture thread? Anyways, the colors were good too.

I really liked the colors in it and the whole effect in the thing like it just pops out from everything! What is really cool about it is that it feels like there is a lot of colors in it but ended up only having three but it is a pretty cool effect I suppose.
You get 5 out of 5 points for that too.

I have to say that it was original since the whole thing's theme is Creature of the week so yeah, there you go. You get 5 out of 5 points for that

I am pretty sure that taking a couple days making it took a lot of time and effort to make this. Plus a lot of effort into that two so you get 5 out of 5 points for that

I thought the whole thing was weird but funny and overall I like the style you used and the overall effort so yeah, it was pretty awesome so you got a perfect score for the whole piece and I hope you enjoyed the first helpful review that you got so you don't just have spam.

Thanks for the long review.

To be honest, the colours are pretty much the same as JonnyUtah's, so there's no imagination there, and some of the weapons are darker (as a cop out).

But you can do a lot with a limited palette if they're used differently throughout the picture, such as strokes, what colours they neighbour and the area they take on the picture.

Pretty Cool!

I thought the mix of colors was a very good idea and made it look very cool! I can even say that it was the best part of it! Oh yeah, if you are wondering why you are getting some much good reviews lately and that the bottom of your new reviews say "Review Request Club", I recommended it for the club in the BBS (You can just guess the club name) Sorry that I didn't ask for permission though but anyways, back to the review....

I thought the blur on the eel's body was cool and so was the transparency in the colors and the thing on top of body. (Please tell me what that is called!) The background was OK too but wasn't bad since you probably would care more for eel itself :P.

I also liked the style of art you put into it to make that new 2010 and 2009 art feeling in USA. It's also cool how the body would just be plain black without all of the colors and lights and stuff so it is original too!

I don't have much to say about this but I thought it was very good work and I think you should work on adding a little bit more things to it even though it is fine but yeah, I thought it was pretty good!

Set as Backround!

I love your art, it is just really cool and they are are Like, really shiny! Is there a word to describe that at all? but what is Apophysis because I want to make better art and yes, I have Gimp but barely use it at all. Well anyways, I admire your art A LOT! You are my top favorite art creator and if It doesn't say that in my favorites, than will put you on top! It didn't work very well as my background because my monitor is big but I am still keeping it!

I thought the 3-D in the whole thing was amazing! It just looks really clear and you are a great artist! I thought the whole thing was amazing and original. (Who would make something like this!) Also the whole Sci-Fi thing was cool too. I also thought it was cool that you just made it with loops and particles to make it more clear and when I saw this I was, thinking, is this in HD? Well, it kind of is but it was just so clear that I didn't know.

It was really hard thinking of a little criticism on this because it looks perfect to me but I think you should work on putting more color in it. I liked the way that when you look at it, you can see a creature in it from the loops and particles which was probably what you were intending on especially since it is called "Galaxy Eyes". But was the gleaming star in the middle like some special add-on or something?

Well anyways, I think you are a VERY talented artist and I think you should keep it up! Overall, it is my personal favorite and I think you should add a little bit more color into it so that's all and I hope you enjoyed this review!

Cool!

I liked the style of art you used and I this card for someone but the lady running or jumping(I don't know) didn't really look right the way the legs were positioned in.
The hair had great detail and was good colors you used too when making this. You also should have made the "Merry Christmas" Text more bigger because it's pretty small right now.

I don't think this is rubbish at all and don't think that while drawing! I hope your friend will like it! It looks like a pretty decent card really but there are a couple errors in it but you HAVE to fix the leg and position it so it faces the man and I think that would make it look better. This picture is pretty creative considering that people don't post Cards on NG but overall, you should just fix the leg and the text and that's it!

ZombieMonkey responds:

I tried to fix the leg. Hope you like it :P

Nice 3-D!

I thought the car looked pretty realistic but I think you should add more background than a simple bridge and the reflection on the side IS too strong but it's a nice little touch to put in Username on the car but I think people rated it kind of low because they might of thought it was a photo even though there wasn't any negative reviews. But I think it took a lot of effort and time to make it look realistic because it IS and I can't even make a 3-D sphere right but at least you got a pretty popular Forum thread about your art which is probably good for you and I recommend you for the Wacom Tablet if Tom Fulp excepted PMs with suggestions.

I see that you have improved on your 3-D art and you should join the Sketchbook collab for 2010 when the thread opens up. I think the background needs more things in the air or something more eventful in the background but I guess it is O.K. I think this is the best 3-D art that I have seen in a while but what program did you use to make this because I want to take 3-D art another shot with a tutorial at Youtube or something.

Overall I like the whole thing but when I look at it with my eyes looking because and forth on the car, it looks smaller like a toy for some reason but nothing that important overall but I like how smooth and clear it looked and the detail that made it look like a real car and If you used this with maya, could you please give me the link to download it or if it is free but If it costs money, then forget it but anyways, keep up the good work with your thread and art!

Kinsei responds:

A better background would probably make this piece. I get a lot of flack about not having any sort of BG on the majority of my models, so I thought I should include one this time.
I feel this is a solid 3D model, but not a great render. Perhaps I can get a better one up soon now that I have some major free time.

Pretty Neat!

I thought this was a very good painting of a kingdom and what is hte Brackenwood Forums though? I thought this was pretty creative and looks like it should be in a frame for a good picture like this. :)

There was a big size comparison between the city and the field. It didn't look right because the city was too small unless it is very far far away then maybe it would look more realistic. I was suprised to see that there was no forest and isn't this a Brackenwood theme anyways?

I liked the volcanoes in the distance they made the picture look pretty cool and all of the smoke in trhe air. I liked all of the texture and the detail, including the small smoke in the city. Overall, I liked the textures and the detailing, I think you should work on the city in comparison, it looks wrong but other than that, good job!

Katatafisch responds:

first of all thanks so much for commenting ;)
the brackenwood forums are at adams homepage
www.biteycastle.com/smf is the address

youre totally right with the city, its intended as a small town in a huge landscape with giant mountaints
its not a brackenwood theme, it was just made in a competition at the forums there

awesome critique! thanks alot

Nice Colors!

I liked it because there was many colors and the style was pretty neat! Although, it was funny that the smallest thing in the picture was the bread, which was the main topic! You sseem to like parties because that is almost what all of the art is and also Graffiti and Doodling a lot on your papers like the other one I reviewed on but this style is cool too!

I liked all of the colors in it too! I thought it was going to be a spacee backround in the thumbnail but the moon and the sun kinda had to do with that even though they were not in the picture but anyways, that was weird. What program did you make this with though? Photoshop?

I like to doodle a lot but I don't have as much imagination as you do though. I need ideas really badly anyways. But a 4 hour party is PRETTY long conisidering that it goes to 3 in he morining but I guess it doesn't matter since I don;t live in Brighton at all.

I thought this was pretty creative but looks nothing like a regular flyer with regular text and Clipart but that makes this flyer even better! The creativity probably made a lot of people come since it is over but anyways, overall I thought this was creative and I think you should keep up the good work!

Amazing!

Like Coop83 said, This needs a frame! This art was amazing and I am sure you put many hours into it too! The colors and the shading was very good and all of the imagination!I liked all of the textures on the rock and the ocean and the pillar that he is lying on!

The moonlight gleaming on the water was very artistic and realistic and all of the paints that you used plus the mettalic paints too made the picture very advanced and professional and when you sent it as a gift, I bet the person you gave it to must have been suprised to have such amazing artwork.

Also what Coop83 said, you should tone down the color a bit and when you stare into the dragon's head, you can imagine a lot of things. It was very pro how you did that. I LOVED all of the detailing on this and right when I saw this I was thinking: Oh my god! This is amazing! I should print this out and give this an awesome review! Although, I didn't print this out unless I got permission from you of course.

I wish I could do artr like this but I am getting close to getting scouted. I have improved from practice a lot. It's lucky that I deleted my old MS Paint art because i wouldn't have gotten scouted for sure! But how did yu upload this to the art portal if it was painted on a canvas? I have noticed that you have two good styles of art which includes : Acrylic paint which you are really talented on and Computer art which is as awesome too.

Overall I think you should put this on a frame for sure and keep practicing even though you are good at it! You might even get better which i don't know how to top this and keep up the good work also!

Texture 10/10

I hope you enjoyed this feedback but sorry that I didn't have much critisism. This art is just too good! 10/10 5/5 Faved

EchoRun responds:

Well, what can I say - I like colour!

Thank you for the review. :)

interesting

There was lots of imagination you put into this and I think all of these kinds of doodles would work for twitter skins. I thought that was amazingly fast how you already posted a skin. I thought people would wait a day or something. Oh well!

I liked all of the random crap you put in but I think you make too much of these style of doodles but that's ok. I almost formed a maze looking at it but i see that you WERE tired when you made this but I think you made it very smoothly probably because you used a marker of some sort instead of pencil.

The style isn't really original but I don't see many of this style on the art portal and I just joined the art portal patrol so OK. I am suprised that it got WAAAAYYY more views then votes and if I was bored enough to fraction it out, that would be about 1/10 people voted from this when they saw it but hey, that could change.

Not to be a kill joy but you should have put color into it even though it was a doodle like your other one. But i am sure that you put SOME effort into it. Too bad I can't make something as simple as this.

Well that leads to the overall score:

Effort 7/10
Originality 8/10
Style 9/10
Creativity 10/10

Overall I thought this was good
